    Love a key point from this piece:

    “Many companies still fail to measure accurately or consistently because those metrics programs aren’t tied to strategies built around target customers.”

    One of the big missing links is the lack of a clearly defined strategy, because the emphasis is to jump on tactics. This is a pet peeve of mine. Tactics without a strategy are just a random play – like throwing dice. Measuring random tactics doesn’t really get you beyond a single program or campaign perspective.
