Peg McGuire

Known for her market savvy and award-winning portfolio, Peg McGuire has been coaching organizations on their communication strategies for over 15 years. Her mission is to help organizations communicate effectively in a complicated global marketplace. She has extensive experience in communications strategy, marketing, internal communications, training and development and project management. She believes passionately in clear concepts, strong words and concise copy. She generates ideas, thinks out-of-the-box, and communicates with style.  She translates corporate-speak into language that people actually understand and simplifies quantitative information.

Her portfolio includes work for Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Atrion Networking Corporation, Putnam Investments, General Electric, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Princess House and Inside Out Communications – and that’s naming just a few.

Her career began in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked as a reporter for the St. Louis Suburban Journal, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and St. Louis Magazine. In 1991, Peg was asked to join Enterprise Rent-A-Car as their first director of internal communications. Under her leadership, Peg directed the internal communications for the company as it grew from 5,000 employees nationwide to 50,000 employees world-wide.

In 1997, Peg picked up and moved to Boston, Massachusetts – just to see if she could do it. (She did.) She contracted her skills to various companies across the Bay Stage and quickly established herself as a leader in her field.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts in Communication Theory and Journalism from Saint Louis University. In addition to her corporate work, Peg is also a creative writer with a number of short stories slated for publishing. She is also finishing her first novel.
